Just a moment please!!..
Well guys am writing here because i strongly felt that i have to write something yesterday!!.. I have been wanting to write something similar right from the end of the world cup for us and also all the media masala that followed it..
Well this topic is about Sachin Tendulkar and the match he played against South Africa yesterday. I saw a show in some news channel yesterday and they said that our loss was due to being slow in the starting. Come on man!!.. did these people see the match properly.. I am sure they have not. There was so much movement in the wicket that there was nothing that one could do but defend.
Sourav did try to up the tempo of the innings but failed so did gautham gambir.. Coming back to Sachin he played the perfect innings,Kallis did play very well but Sachin was better given the conditions at the point of the innings. There were a few hitches here and there but Sachin showed his class and he played better than any cricketer present.
Sachin played according to the situation he was simply awesome. Sad that he missed his century he must have been there till the end. Pulling such an innings given the situation and the perfect bowling conditions in the first half of the match he must be given more appreciation and recognition than what is being done. Marred in the cloud of speculations on our loss, is the truth that we did give it a match and a tough match , we made them fight. It was really a bad toss to lose ppl. The second innings was made easy by the dryness of the pitch, which sadly was not there when we were put to bat.
There wasn any damn sideways movement on the pitch, that made a bit easy for Kallis. which is y i wud rate Sachins innings anyday higher than Kallis just because of the conditions under which he made his 99 which was much worse for batting than for Kallis.
I really beg all those who read this post to just give a moments thought for Sachin. He is not a player who looks for personal records man.. The situation yesterday demanded him to play such an innings that was a bit slow , he just wanted to defend his wicket for the team.. coz another wicket then wud have been disastrous for us.
Please leave ur comments here but no arguments please. coz Sachin doesn deserve arguments on his abilities from his people anymore.
Pleadingly yours
Shiv

Sachin is now playing only for personal records. His getting out on nervous 90's (99 infact) shows his nerves. Of late he is always taking his time to get to a 100
Hey Shiv
tat was a gud one aftr a long time..Well its a shame tat in India ppl seem to appreciate the game only if we win it.If we had won the match ppl wud ve nt even bothered to think of Sachin s innings. But we lost it so everyones so apathetic n busy finding faults.Sachin needs no introduction.Everyones aware of his contributions to the Indian cricket.Yet if ppl try to blame him then its a remorse. He doesn deserve it fr wateva he has done fr past 10 or 15 yrs.
N shiv js stay cool..There s long way to go n m sure Sachin ll prove tat he was n is still one among the greatest players in the history of cricket.
Keep writing...
well Mr./Ms.anonymous well for that 99 it had to be slow.. coz it was a bowling pitch.. Ganguly tried to play very fast but he was sent back easily..please never even think that hez playing for records.. he has surpassed almost everything there is actly nothing for him to play for. he can retire anytime coz most of the records are for him. hez continuing coz he plays for the country... and as for nerves please(sarcastic)... guess u don watch cricket closely enuf..did u see this 93 i guess it was quite fast enuf.. he was looking extremely comfortable unlike sourav who was standing there for the heck of it..
to vid.. am sure i ll keep writing and more will come abt sachin... and lets pray that Indians aren that stupid to froget certain things in the past...
dude...sachin is a wonderful player....no doubt one of the worlds greatest of all times...
but he has gotten old..and his reflexes are becoming slower...his shot selection has changed...become more subtle...and though he has managed to adjust to the new scenario and score...i still miss the sachin of old....
@sri and even we do miss his fans of the old giving him more respect for his work.. ya but who played better than him on this game can u tell me
hey shiv sorry for commentin so late!i loved your post liked it better than your previous ones, being a die hard sachin fanatic meself i share the same feelings u have about this issue!
It's ridiculous to even think tat sachin plays for personal records,he is the most selfless cricketer in the world i don think even lara is as selfless as sachin!
I would like to bring up somethin which happened few yrs ago, when sourav was the captain, it was a test match sachin was on 195 odd not out and sourav declared the innings,it would be really discouragin for any batsmen, not sachin cos we all know there is jus one Tendulkar, there can't be anyone like him!
ya kudos to u revathy!!.. thanks for being on my side!!..
am really sorry for being so late..calling lara selfish!!!thats the worst i have heard!!!(Even sachin wont accept that!)
Sachin is too good a player, infact marvellous, but he has grown old, there are too many chinks in his armour these days!!!And about the innings against SA...i saw each ball of it, he did play well....but did that match sachin's calibre!!!Sachins got immense potential even today, but he definitely did not live up to it in that mtch. The next match that he played...he did play reaally well!!!!But he has grown old!!!!And he is not our best batsman!!!and i would like to see him win more matches..let that be gettin just 40 than us losing, after he gets a 90!!!
ya thats rite... don knw.. i still beleive that he has it in him to be that superman that we want him to be everytime he gets into the ground...
v dont want him to be the superman....but v just want him to do something a la kallis or dravid..stay till the end...he can do that hands down..just dono wats occupying his mind
