Life Aint Fair...

I had gone to marina beach last week with my bro who had come over from Delhi...

There I noticed large flocks of crows at the waters edge which kept on flying away when the waves came in and then got back to the edge as soon as the waves receded…Highly unusual behavour u say…I thought so as well…

But after walking around the waters edge myself for sometime, I realized wat the birds were upto… there were these small fish or worms or whatever u call them…washed onto the shore in their shells…Fledglings which were supposed to start their life after coming out of their shells…

Instead, waiting their arrivals were a flock of crows waiting to suck those helpless things right from their shells into their everfilling stomachs….

DEATH…unexpected and undeserved….wat did those things(I cannot understand whether they are fish or worms …) do to merit such an unfair treatment from life…nothing…

Life is like that…isn’t it…u often get wat u don’t deserve…and this can be either to your advantage or your disadvantage…but tats wat happens…

We all feel, at one time or the another…that we don’t deserve wat is happening to us…well we don’t…but it ll happen….cos tats how life is…

You know wat they say about karma and how wat happens to u is only a result of your good deeds…and not so good ones ;-)… I don’t think so…life I think is defined by a single word…FATE…wat has to happen will happen and we cant do anything about it…just keep on living and being true to ourselves and hoping for the best…

A very famous dialogue from Anand comes to mind…

Hum sub rang manch ki katputliya hai

Jiski dor upar wale ke haath mein hai

We are all puppets in this game called life…and which puppets thread is gonna break next…who knows…

However, they do say that It all evens out in the end…lets hope so…

Signing off

Philosophically yours :-)

well sriram... altho i do agree with the latter part of ur post.. bout life being subject to fates.. and all of us bein mere puppets..

but the former one.. CMON man !! crows eating worms.. tats wat u call the food chain na.. ok if u tryin to draw an analogy that

crows => more privilged humans
worms => less privileged ones..

den i agree with u.. but if u r apllyin the concept of fate etc to the worms as well , tats pushin things a lil bit too far..

cuz thats part of ecology , and eco system. its was keeps the balance. only if the crows dont eat the worms do u have a cause for concern !!

but yes , maybe its a lil sad if worms had feelings its sad.but den u can keep extending this logic n feel sad for bacteria as well !!!

hey sriram..i wonder why this sudden turn towards philosophy?
Anyways i agree that "Life evens out in the end." Most of us feel life is very unfair, I'm no exception,but then if life is unfair why are we afraid of death?Won't it be boring to be happy all the time? If there is no failure,then isn't it true we'll never be able to know the real taste of SUCCESS?..

Its the food chain and we cant stop it.. It has to continue for life to continue on earth...
But when we talk about fate.. Ya many things seem unfair .. but I always believed tat there is a huge eqn somewhere which will make things balanced..

But this Krama ... I strongly believe in it ..
